The difficulty that the whole of Italy, and not only, is experiencing in these days, and the repercussions that Covid-19 pandemic will have in the coming months in the reorganization of events, cultural activities and festivals, lead us to rethink and support contemporary art formats, such as prizes.

We announced, during the launch of the first edition of BenNoLo, that during 2020 (the year in which the event is not physically held) there would be an open call for artists with the aim of constructing a public artwork for the NoLo district. Given the contingencies, we decided to extend the project well beyond the neighborhood with a free call for participation addressed to all citizens.

Without going dow the street, without buying stamps, without having to look for mailboxes, we invite you to image the possibility of mapping an entire country with a "vintage" mode which, in these days of solitude and forced distance, becomes the perfect means to feel a little closer to each other: sending (by email) a postcard.

We don’t have to go out, but we can tell our inner, domestic, imaginary, and unimaginable landscapes until a few weeks ago; the landscapes that will open the scenarios for the future.

The best 110 images will be printed in postcard (100) and poster (10) format and at the end of the contest there will be an exhibition.

The images should be sent by email to paesaggibiennolo2020@gmail.com.
